Head of Machine Learning

Our client is a leading BioTech AI vendor who are looking to hire a Head of Machine Learning to help support innovation and development. Recently securing over £150million in funding they are looking to build a world class Research team here in the UK.

Responsibilities

• This person will be responsible for leading a team of scientists, managing complex projects and being a thought leader.
• You will drive cutting-edge research agenda to push the state-of-the-art in machine learning for prototyping new ideas and delivering production-ready solutions
• Design, implement, run, analyse and document machine learning methods and experiments to solve real-world healthcare/life science problems
• To be an action-oriented problem solver with a drive to raise the technical bar, deliver results and innovate

Requirements

• PhD in Machine Learning or a related discipline from a leading University
• 5 years of relevant industry research leadership experience
• Experience of Deep Learning within Genomics
• Knowledge and experience of Python, Pytorch, JAX, TensorFlow, Geometric/Graph Neural Networks
• Record of publications in leading conferences and journals such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ISMB, ECCB, CVPR, ICCV etc
• Experience of leading a team of Engineers/Researchers
• Excellent communication skills
