OpenAI is rolling out a big upgrade for ChatGPT with support for advanced chat history search, but the feature is rolling out to Plus and Pro subscribers only.
ChatGPT has a chat history, and it’s possible to search for your specific chat, but the catch is that it doesn’t work well.

OpenAI says it’s aware of the limitation and is rolling out a new feature that makes it possible to reliably find specific chat details.
“When reference chat history is enabled, ChatGPT can now more reliably find specific details from your past chats when you ask,” OpenAI confirmed in updated release notes.
“Any past chat used to answer your question now appears as a source so you can open and review the original context.”
This feature is now rolling out, but it’s not the only major improvement.
